Would you like to become active against hate on the Internet and learn more about counter-speech? Have you ever heard of the term “silent reader”? Do you want to understand what a constructive discussion culture in social media can look like and how you can contribute to it? Then we invite you to our online workshop – a live simulation, where you can develop strategies and tactics for dealing with hate speech on the Internet and learn what impact hate speech and discrimination have on our democracies and liberal societies.
During the online workshop you will have the opportunity to do the following:

– take on different roles in a virtual live simulation and to experience a conflictual online discussion in these roles;
– get tips and tricks for successful online discussions.
Who can participate?

The event will be held in English via Zoom. All you need is a PC / laptop / tablet with audio and camera functions and a Facebook account. To participate, please register here by October 25th.
The online workshop is jointly realized by ichbinhier e.V., Kreisau-Initiative e.V. and Krzyżowa Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe within the framework of the Ukraine Calling Alumni Network. As part of the Ukraine Calling program, a trilateral online workshop with simulation has already taken place in cooperation with ichbinhier e.V. in 2020.
ichbinhier e.V. is an association that wants to sensitize users of social networks, media representatives and political decision-makers to the issue of hate on the Internet and promotes democracy through constructive discussions. To this, the association has developed a workshop format for digital civic courage.
