HR-Forum for Civil Society Actors

HR-Forum for Civil Society Actors

The main goal behind the idea of “HR forum” is to support the leaders broadly defined personnel of NGOs in expanding their diverse team management skills, task delegation, leadership development in their organisations. We are not in favour of transmitting business ideas and practices to the NGOs environment. However, we strongly believe that a reasonable adaptation of those practices allows to extend the life cycle of the organisation and avoid some of the problems related to human resource management, leadership crisis or activist’s burnout. This, in turn, will translate into more effective support of the organisations’ beneficiaries.

The project will be followed by both qualitative and quantitative survey aiming at identifying the needs and gaps of the competencies of the NGO leaders. The workshops, designed base on the survey results, aim to acquire and develop leadership and management skills. Debates, in turn, would be focused on building partnerships and expanding the network of contacts. As part of the project, we plan to publish a textbook collecting the discussed knowledge and practical, real and implementable examples of solutions to problems in the area of human resource management (motivation, burnout prevention, diversity management within the organization, etc.). Another important stage of the project is to support participants in finding mentors among experts-practitioners.
