Access to Qualified Translation for Asylum Seekers
The Ukrainian authorities (judges, State migration service, State boder guard service) are facing a shortage of qualified interpreters of rare languages (Urdu, Pashto, Farsi, Tamil, Hindi, Somali) in Ukraine. Lack of access to qualified translation leads to violation of right to international protection.
The main idea of project is formation an effective model of interaction between authorities and interpreters of rare languages to ensure access of asylum seekers to qualified translation in Ukraine. How are we going to do this? Through analysis of best world practices on this issue, formation and adoption of appropriative model for Ukraine and organization of effective exchange of experience between the Ukrainian authorities and foreign colleagues.

Additionally, “Right to Protection” ensures the protection and human rights of other vulnerable migrants: the internally displaced, the stateless and those at risk of statelessness and the asylum seekers.
